Overview

The Edge Delta Documentation connector enables AI teammates to search and retrieve information from Edge Delta’s documentation. When users ask questions about features, configuration, troubleshooting, or API usage, teammates can query the documentation database and provide relevant answers.

The connector also analyzes user intent to determine when users want to create Edge Delta resources (teammates, connectors, or channels) and provides redirect recommendations to the appropriate creation pages.

Add the Documentation Connector

The Documentation connector requires no configuration. It connects directly to Edge Delta’s documentation database.

Configuration steps

  1. Navigate to AI Team > Connectors in the Edge Delta application
  2. Click Add Connector and select Edge Delta Documentation Connector
  3. Click Save or Connect

Grant connector access to teammates

After adding the connector, grant access to the teammates that need it:

  1. Navigate to the teammate configuration page
  2. Click Manage Connectors
  3. Click the plus icon next to the Documentation connector to grant access

edgedelta_ask_documentation

Searches and retrieves relevant information from the Edge Delta documentation database. Teammates use this tool when users ask questions about Edge Delta features, configuration, troubleshooting, API usage, or any product-related topics. The tool performs semantic search across the complete documentation database.

Default permission: Allow

edgedelta_redirect

Analyzes user intent to determine if they should be redirected to create Edge Delta resources. Teammates use this tool when users express intent to create, set up, or add new resources such as teammates, connectors, or channels. The tool returns redirect recommendations with URLs to the appropriate creation pages.

How to use the Documentation connector

The Documentation connector integrates with AI Team to provide product guidance during conversations. Teammates automatically query documentation when users ask product-related questions.

Use case: Feature questions

When users ask about Edge Delta capabilities, teammates search the documentation to provide accurate answers with links to relevant pages.

Use case: Configuration guidance

When users need help configuring pipelines, processors, or destinations, teammates retrieve step-by-step instructions from the documentation.

Use case: Resource creation

When users express intent to create new resources (“I want to add a new connector”), teammates analyze the request and provide direct links to the appropriate creation pages in the Edge Delta application.
