PagerDuty Integration Guide

Step-by-step guide for connecting PagerDuty with Edge Delta AI Team.

Overview

This guide walks through configuring the PagerDuty connector for Edge Delta AI Team. The integration enables AI teammates to query incidents, manage on-call schedules, and coordinate incident response.

Requirements

  • PagerDuty account with permissions to create API tokens
  • Edge Delta account with access to AI Team

Create a PagerDuty API Token

Recommended: Create a dedicated PagerDuty user for AI Team (e.g., “Edge Delta AI Team”) to track actions performed by AI teammates.

  1. Log in to your PagerDuty account
  2. Click your profile image and select My Profile
  3. Open the User Settings tab
  4. Click Create API User Token
  5. Enter a description (e.g., “Edge Delta AI Team”)
  6. Click Create Token
  7. Copy the API User Token
  8. Paste the token into the Edge Delta connector configuration

Configure the Connector in Edge Delta

  1. Log in to Edge Delta at https://app.edgedelta.com/
  2. Navigate to AI Team > Connectors
  3. Find and click the PagerDuty connector
  4. Enter your PagerDuty Token
  5. Copy the Webhook URL displayed
  6. Click Save

Configure Webhooks in PagerDuty

Webhooks enable real-time incident notifications in Edge Delta.

  1. In PagerDuty, navigate to Integrations > Generic Webhooks (v3)
  2. Click New Webhook
  3. Paste the Webhook URL from Edge Delta into the Webhook URL field
  4. For Scope, select Account to receive events from all services (or choose specific services/teams)
  5. Enter a Description: “Edge Delta AI Team Webhook”
  6. For Event Subscription, leave All selected to receive all incident events
  7. Click Add Webhook

Verify the Integration

Test Webhook Delivery

  1. In PagerDuty, navigate to Integrations > Generic Webhooks (v3)
  2. Find the Edge Delta webhook and click Send Test Event
  3. Select a test event type (e.g., incident.triggered)
  4. Click Send Test
  5. In Edge Delta, check the #alerts-feeds channel for the test event

Test API Access

  1. In Edge Delta, navigate to AI Team
  2. Open a chat with an AI teammate that has PagerDuty enabled
  3. Ask: “Who is currently on-call?” or “List recent incidents”
  4. Verify the AI teammate retrieves PagerDuty data

Uninstall

Remove from Edge Delta

  1. Navigate to AI Team > Connectors
  2. Find the PagerDuty connector
  3. Click the menu icon (three dots)
  4. Select Disconnect
  5. Confirm the disconnection

Remove from PagerDuty

  1. Navigate to Integrations > Generic Webhooks (v3)
  2. Find and delete the Edge Delta webhook
  3. Navigate to Settings > API Access
  4. Find and delete the Edge Delta API key
