The Source Nodes section is dedicated to outlining the various data input mechanisms available within the platform. These source nodes are pivotal in defining how Edge Delta receives and ingests data from a wide array of systems and formats. Conceptually, source nodes act as the initial touchpoint in the observability pipeline, where raw data—ranging from logs and metrics to traces and events is captured from different origins. Each source node is specialized to handle specific data formats and transmission methods. This diversity ensures that Edge Delta can integrate into existing infrastructure, providing a robust framework for data collection. Edge Delta ensures comprehensive data flow management by supporting a multitude of sources from traditional file systems to cloud-based services like Amazon S3.
